Grade 740-E Special-Purpose Filter Paper, 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) diameter. Thick, absorbent cotton linter for use as an antibiotic assay test disc. Specified in standard tests for antibiotic susceptibility and antibiotic levels in milk. Coarse porosity. Fast flow rate. Retains 20 to 30 μm particles. Sold open and unsterilized. (You’d probably want to take it out of the plastic before sterilizing!) Thickness is roughly 0.7 mm, as measured by the seller, so these discs are pretty stiff.
